It all started in 2002 when I wanted to give my sister a truly unique gift for my nephew's first birthday. At the time, my sister was very concerned about my nephew's safety, and it occurred to me that I could make a teddy bear for him and it would be everything my sister would love:

• Unique, hand-made design
• All pre-washed fabrics
• Embroidered and hand-painted features - nothing that could come off and choke a baby
• Soft stuffing that is stable and won't become a hazard if the toy were to tear
• Machine washable - because kids happen

After I made her bear, I started making bears and bunnies for friends' baby showers and Christmas gifts. And now you can take one home for your loved ones, too.
